Ways to Burn More CaloriesFinding ways to burn more calories may be the answer to getting off your weight plateau.
One obvious strategy is to build more muscle.
Muscle requires more enery (calories)to maintain itself than does fat. The more muscles you have, the more calories you burn.
Another is to find a more intense exercise. Or to do the exercise you now practice, more intensely.
Look at the following calorie burning chart.

Another strategy: Whatever you are doing for exercise, double it! Spend twice as much time doing it. If you are walking an hour each day, walk two.
If you are doing 30 minutes of weight lifting twice a week, do an hour or do it 4 days instead of two. Don’t moan! I know that is a lot, but what are your priorities?
You can double your time by doing your routine twice a day instead of once. For instance, if you walk 30 minutes every morning, add another 30 minutes walk in the evening.
