Low Carb Sauces and Dressings

Punch up the appetite-appeal of your meals with sauces and dressings.

Quick Hollandaise

½ cup mayonnaise
3 tbs. heavy cream
¼ tsp. salt
1 tbs. lemon juice

Mix mayonnaise, cream and salt in a measuring cup. Set the cup in saucepan filled with water. Heat for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice. Stir and serve. Good on sliced hard boiled eggs.

Makes about 2/3 cup
1 gm. carbohydrate per recipe

Creamy Horseradish Sauce

1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
1-½ tsp. horseradish
Salt to taste

Mix ingredients until well blended. Cover and refrigerate. Serve with fish, corned beef or cold sliced meat.
